Our Head of Research, Liv Taylor went on a road trip to Hartlepool and Newcastle this week to give inspirational PATTERNITALKs as part of the Northern Design Festival.
To encourage the students at Cleveland College of Art and Design to share their talents and spark each other’s creativity, Liv talked about PATTERNITY's own design process and some of our key values - connectivity and collaboration! She discussed how the sharing of ideas and act of seeing and forming connections leads to more dynamic outcomes. Following the lecture, she took part in a question and answer session with the students and staff.
At
Design Now symposium, Liv spoke alongside Pentagram designer, Angus Heyland and Turner Prize winners, Assemble to explore new perspectives on design.
Thanks for having us!
"Liv was fascinating to listen to and the way she explained patterns was inspirational. She brought the simplest patterns to life and it is hard now not to look around and see patterns in everything. As first years we are now looking at composition and this has really helped to bring it to life. There is so much I will take away from this for the rest of my course"
