Celebrating the revolutionary artwork of Victor Vasarely
At PATTERNITY, we salute the work of Hungarian-French artist Victor Vasarely, which has influenced our own aesthetic – taking inspiration from nature’s forms yet drawing them into a heightened world of abstract perception

Take Vasarely’s seminal work Zebra, painted back in 1937. Zebra depicts two zebras as a series of alternating black and white lines: sinuous, twisting, playful and full of power. Vasarely employed simple geometric lines and shapes to create illusionary effects that went on to influence Op-art and a bold new era of graphic style.
