Probing the solar system with NASA’s New Horizons

On July 14 2015, NASA’s New Horizions space probe became the first spacecraft to explore Pluto. Completing the longest journey of any spacecraft – travelling over 7.5 billion kilometres – the tiny vessel beamed back image after image of the mysterious dwarf planet on the icy outer edge of our solar system, teaching us more about the infinite universe that we share and the origins of Earth itself.
