Photographing our relationship with water

Edward Burtynsky’s photography provides us with a bird’s eye view of environmental destruction. Images of urban mines, shrinking rivers and mass consumerism all draw our attention to the impact that seven billion humans are having on the world’s finite eco-system.

Through his powerful work, he aims to persuade millions to join a global conversation about sustainability. His latest project, Watermark, focuses on our inextricable relationship with water.
