We're excited to announce we're looking for a new member to join our PATTERNITEAM

6 months, 8 hours per week

Start Date: Flexible, ideally October 5th  2020

Payment £10 per hour (we will meet national living wage according to location) 

An internship at PATTERNITY is an opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience and make meaningful social change with a global impact. Our team is small, but powerful, which means that interns play an integral role in our work. Our Social Media and Digital Intern will inspire our growing audiences by writing, editing, and sharing compelling stories on social media and our website. They will also design graphics to accompany social media posts, measure the success of posts through analytics, and explore new and creative ways to leverage our expansive collection of photos, videos and written content.

The PATTERNITEAM operates as a global constellation of creative changemakers; Anna (London/Somerset) Grace (Glasgow) Emma (LA) Gael (Dublin) Steph & Joe (Brighton).
Our Social Media Intern will work remotely with occasional face to face meetings depending on the current climate.


  • Share content for our social platforms: Facebook, Instagram and our website
  • Share creative posts that are aligned with our creative focus, live projects and long-term strategy
  • Strategise with the marketing and creative team
  • Research topics related to our mission and engage our community and followers in meaningful dialogue
  • Research and share social media best practices with staff to inform strategy
  • Review, organise, and optimise PATTERNITY’s collection of photos, videos and written content
  • Create graphics in Canva and / or Adobe Creative Suite to accompany and enhance social posts
  • Support additional social or communications-related projects, as needed


  • You believe in and are passionate about our mission and guiding philosophy
  • Interest, enthusiasm, and experience using social media
  • Strong writing skills and an ability to adapt to PATTERNITY’s voice
  • Interest in graphic design, visual communications and building brand awareness
  • Open-minded and willing to take on a variety of different projects
  • Familiar and curious about environmental science, personal and planetary health as well as creativity and design.
  • You are a good planner, have great attention to detail and ability to both work into our current systems but also confident to suggest and build better ones!
