Ascension: A Bespoke Climbing Wall Design for the Ace Hotel
Celebrating Patience and Perseverance with a Permanent Addition to the Ace Hotel Gym
Mixing pattern with storytelling, we created an exciting new permanent addition to Ace Hotel Shoreditch: a climbing wall. This monotone design commissioned by Ace and Modern Design Review united the pattern of geological formations with the act of ascension.
Our dynamic gradient pattern connected the grandeur of nature with the human spirit. We celebrated both the formation of mountains over millions of years and the value of perseverance in every individual’s journey towards personal growth.
We were one of five handpicked designers including Assemble and Studio Toogood featured during London Design Festival 2016. Today, you can still visit this meditative and uplifting space, designed for guests of the hotel to use, enjoy and reflect on.
